MDB won the project in a competitive tender against two other builders. The original design called for excavating the site to form the internal slab, which added significant cost to the extension.
MDB redesigned the internal slab as a suspended slab. This removed the excavation works and reduced the overall price, without compromising the finished building.
Construction began in May 2026 and was completed in September 2026. The client gained additional factory space at a lower cost, thanks to a practical approach to design and buildability.
