The brief.

Rockpool set out to build a 150-bed aged care facility at Carseldine Village with luxury-level facilities, while meeting the environmental performance needed for a 5 Star Green Star rating.

Our approach.

MDB director Matt Thompson led the project as design and construction manager, working with McNab, GJG Architects and Economic Development Queensland. When several subcontractors fell over and record rainfall hit the site, the programme was held together through close management of trades and sequence.

The result.

Rockpool Carseldine became Australia’s first 5 Star Green Star aged care facility, delivered on time and within budget.
